Designing the EO Western New York website was a tedious and challenging task. As a reference, I was told to look at the EO Malaysia website and try to use much of their styling to in the new site (See the EO Malaysia Site). The main item that EO WNY asked for was the scrolling animation found on the home page of the Malaysia site. This proved to be the most difficult part of the entire project. After working tediously and referencing other developers from Haley Marketing eventually, I was able to figure out a solution. Using a mix of JavaScript and CSS I was able to recreate the animations.
Once that was complete, I focused on building out the rest of the site. As I worked, I made sure to match the new theming and design between pages to build a strong brand and sense of continuity. After the completion of the site, it was sent off to the members of EO WNY for review and after several revisions, the site was ready to go live. As of the 1st of November, the new EO site is up and running, looking up to date, and feeling much more comfortable for users.
